Electrostatic filters

Electrostatic filtration is an innovative filtration technology which uses the creation of an electric field to ionize polluting oily particles and separate them from the airflow, drawing them towards a specific metal plate.

Advantages

N

Efficient and constant performance for all service life: contaminants don’t accumulate and don’t jeopardize the efficiency of the system.

N

Total elimination of used up mechanical filters disposal: polluting particles are drawn and easily eliminated by the metal plate.

N

Reduction of replacements and maintenance costs: filters washing can be easily performed autonomously and limits spares need.

The advantages of the most innovative filtration technology

Electrostatic filters are based on the ionization of air polluting particles through an electric field. The polluted particles of the airflow are charged with unipolar electricity, thanks to the tungsten wires fed with 10 kV direct current suspended between electrodes connected to the ground. In the collecting section, made of pure aluminum plates fed with 5Kv current alternated with plates connected to the ground, the particles are pushed away by the fed plates towards the other ones connected to the ground. These last plates have the function to capture polluting particles. The polluting particles retained by the filter have to be removed periodically through simple ordinary maintenance operations.

Compared to mechanical filters, where the accumulation of contaminants reduces their efficiency in time, electrostatic filters keep a high and constant performance for all their serving life, even with high levels of pollutants concentration. The advantages of electrostatic filters also include the ease of carry out maintenance independently and the reduction of spare costs.
